So I recently just received my stb from racingline and tried to install it on my car, but ran into a problem with it on the last hole on the bracket (the one racingline provided a different bolt for) with the bc coilovers the bolt on the camber plate doesn't extend past the stb brace far enough to put the nut on.

i'm having difficulty with this, and had my cousin intially help me install the coilovers. i searched the forum and didn't find any answers. would i need to change the bolt on the camber plate? or is there any other solution.

thanks

borrowed this image from a different topic but its the bottom right bolt

not your fault... a lot of unnecessary threads would be avoided if the faq and stickies were better kept.

The Racingline Strut bar can still be used with the BC Racing coilovers, you will just need to press out the bolt on your camber plate and use a longer standard bolt from the hardware store. If you have a bench vice and a small piece of pipe it'll only take about 5 min to press the bolt out of the strut/camber plate. Removing the bolt and substituting a longer bolt will have no impact on either parts performance, yet it will allow you to install both parts together

You would likely want to use an M8x60 bolt and the matching M10 nut

Does bolt grade matter?

Minimum grade 8.8.... 10.9 or 12.9 would be better

Sorry to bring up an old thread but how would a m8-60 bolt fit a m10 nut? I went to my local parts store and test fitted them to see if it fits but the m10 is too big.
And also, do I get the m8-60 1.0 or the m8-60 1.25?

I will be going through this very soon here.

Alls I got so far is;

M8x60
M10 Nut
10.9/12.9 grade
M10x35?

This work for anyone?

Also thread spacing on the strut bar?

sorry no there is a typo. you need the matching M8 nut

BC coilover use you need:
2x M8x 50~60
2x M8 nuts

the M10x35 was in reference to a different question ( ypipe related)

Hey sorry, I know this is way late. Yes I did. It was simple. Get the m8x50 tho. We had to shave off the extra length on the bolt to not hit the hood. Works beautify tho
