Just wondering if anyone has this set up, I've heard some of the wires aren't long enough if you have the AEM intake because the "heat shield" gets in the way.

Any ideas?

Also a bit curious about this, i just installed my AEM. I'm just waiting for warmer weather to put my grounding kit. I have the Sentient one though.

I'm pretty sure all the grounding kits will fit with an intake that doesn't have a huge heat shield. I do remember reading a while back that sentient said to let him know which intake you had so he could adjust the length of the wires accordingly.

The racingline kit ( both 2.5 and 3.5) circle around the back under the intake, I can't really see how it will interfere with any intake. The SBD kit (iirc) does however criss cross over the intake path

RL - I think what he's concerned with is the massive heat shield that surrounds the intake piping on the AEM application. There isn't much room for a grounding kit wire to go, and I highly doubt it's long enough to go underneath it. It might work, it might not work.

Thanks for the info! It seems like there are enough positive effects (drastic or not) to justify spending the money. Plus it dresses up the engine bay nicely.

yeah, that is what I was referring to. Having the wire be long enough to effectively reach.

I know what was meant, my point was that none of the RL wire travel over or under the intake path. 1 side follows the batty/fender, another the engine block itself, and the other the timing chain side. Non of the RL wires actually cross the intake path ever. Now the intake would no doubt hav e to be removed to facilitate the grounding kits installation, but once the kit is installed the AEM intake would fit back into place

Sweet! Looks like your grounding kit will be ordered by me soon then. That part is on my list of things to get for the summer. Thanks much for the input!
