The drive across the CA/AZ desert can be pretty freaking boring at midpoint, so this was a nice surprise.

We ran beside this twister for a good mile. I'm not a good person to decide the scientific strength of this one WHERE'S DAN??? but it didn't dissipate like most of the small ones we see around here. We lost sight of it and it was still going strong.

Yep, that'll definitely spice up the regularly boring I-10. I've made the drive only a couple times, but I had a buddy who used to make the drive quite often for work and he'd rant and rave about how dull the drive was. One time while riding in his truck, I looked in the back seat and asked what all the empty soda bottles were for.

Stonefaced, he replied, "Piss. I want to make the drive as short as possible, so I dont stop for nothing."

That's a nice little landspout! That dust devil would probably be strong enough to knock your trash cans over and blow all your trash down the street, probly blow around your plastic lawn furniture. I don't know if Greg remembers this, but my first trip out to PIR, I was following him in the vert, think he had Dar with him, and perry was way behind me in his hatch. We took the long route past the airplane graveyard and one one of those back roads, one a little less dense than that rolled right over the top of my car, stupid thing got sand everywhere because I had my windows down. Then I nearly missed a road runner, haha.

I've seen a dust devil in colorado before that picked up a tin roof off of a shed and sent metal trash cans flying!

Definately cool stuff!

We used to have a trampoline in our back yard and one of those bishes came through and picked the thing up and just threw it over the fence and down the road just like it was a piece of paper. Scarry stuff.

I know the feeling. Once I drove clear from Tempe to here (about 480 miles) without stopping for anything. When I got home the pressure was so high it nearly lifted me off the ground. And no. I didn't have any sobe bottles.
