I will probably take my J and streetbike to race next year, im doing it to have fun and because my cousin in law( if that makes sence) has invited me to go with him. He has a F-150 with a stage 2 supercharger. Any tips on how to get the J track ready. Again im only going to have some fun, not be be Drift King lol

You want to run the fastest time without modding it, is that what you're saying? I guess strip the interior down as far as you're willing to go. Remove spare tire/other crap. If you have aftermarket wheels, the odds are decent that stock wheels are lighter (especially T wheels). Um...? I'm not sure what else you mean by 'get it ready', I guess. If you want to mod it, open your wallet, spend a couple Gs the handful of smallish expensive mods you can do, and get ready for a blistering 14 second 1/4 mile.

If you want to have fun in your J, then I say just do what you can!!!

My suggestion is to make 3 runs (hot-lap), then let the car rest for an hour. Repeat until you get tired or the track closes.

Also, when in the staging lanes for extended periods, turn the car off. You can also leave the hood open & let the breeze flow through the engine bay.

Finally, don't expect too much. If people want to race you, then go for it!!! (Unless it's for money or pink slips...) Racing @ a track is much, muchbetter than street racing. No haters, no cops, no worries. Trust me; I'd race in my Civic @ my home track (full interior & no mods), & it's a blast!!! You learn how to hone your skills & can even get some ideas on when & where to mod.

Oh, & don't forget the safety gear. You'll need it.
