Hi everyone. Does anyone have any knowledge about AP Racing rotor replacement? I'm talking about the type where you have to bolt rotor on to the bell-hub first before installing it to the car.

I have 03 M45 with front AP Racing 6 piston calipers kit CP5560 and the rotors really need to be replaced but I don't have any information about the rotors at all.

My questions are: does rotor has to be exact size and thickness? Can I use a different brand rotors? Is it possible to use standard single piece rotors that can be bought locally like AutoZone?

My knowledge is very limited with this type of brakes, but it came with the car when I bought it 6 years ago. I am however consider reverting it back to OEM since AP Racing rotors are insanely expensive...

Any help or suggestions is appreciated :mike

Welcome to the forum!

I'm sure one of our resident BBK owners will be able to chime in...or possible hit up RED_DET (runs TunerzStore.com) and see if he can't provide you with more info.

The rotors will need to be exact size. No local auto parts store are going to be of any help. You will need to know the diameter and thickness of rotor. Sometime Stoptech or DBA will make replacement rings for other manufacturers.
