well I got the money now, it is just a matter of time finding the right 240 in my price range. I've rule out getting a vert so it'll bee a s13 hatch or s14. Any ways while playing the waiting game I've had time to think about my first mod. I figured since it will be a dd/track car my first mod would be to reconfigure the pedals.

with that being said, what I'd like to do is bring the brake pedal closer to throttle pedal, how far yet I don't now but it wouldn't be too much. I'll know when I take measurements. I also want to bring the throttle pedal down for better heel toeing during hard braking.

I guess my question is do they have a racing pedal assembly package that I could buy because I sure is hell can't find one or is this something a shop would have to do. I could do it myself but I'm not to keen on messing with pedal assembly's

that might help if I was going rhd wich I refuse to do with a usdm car its not my style if I want a rhd car I'll buy a jdm car which I'll do one day. or I could modify the jdm assembly but why would I do that when I could modify usdm assembly. thank for the input though its always appreciated.

probably less than a quarter of an inch but, like I said before I have to take measurements.

Why so close?

My bet is once you get a 240 the distance between pedals will be the least of your worries.

i tried to help by trying to tell you that youre over engineering something on a street 240. were not trying to be germans on this forum. it would be so simple and easy to cut the pedal itself off the lever, position where you want it, and weld it back. instead you want to move the entire assemblies around. you know the BMC has hardlines going to right? use common sense, and weigh in the factors. seems like a no brainer to me. however, i never had any problems rev-matching/heel-toe braking in any of my 240s. for some cars, i dont know about the 240, but ive seen where they make pedal extensions for the brake, and gas pedal. you can look into that and see if anyone makes one for the s chassis. if not, get some and adapt them.

yeah I've driven 1996 s14 with an auto transmission. my other to friends with the 5spds won't let me in the driver seat because I won't let them drive the honda buts that because its falling apart but even if it wasn't I don't see why they'd want to drive a civic.

ok, youve never even driven a manual 240 before, and are already pondering this "NASA/german racing pedal concept"....
