Sounds like you might have cross threaded the bolt, no worries though I unfortunately did the same thing when i was installing my strut bar and have a easy fix.

What I did was go to a local hardware store (I went to Autozone) and buy a bolt that is skinny enough to fit through the hole from the bottom then get a nut and washer that is wide enough to cover the bolt from going through the hole. Then tighten her up and you are good to go.

Strut bar or sway bar? Coilovers or none? :D

You stripped the thread. I woudlnt recommend doing what SteveK says though, that isnt bolting down the bar or anything else for that matter into the tower, its kind of attaching it to the top.

I did the same thing, go and buy a tap and tie set. A few turns with the proper size tap and you are good to go. Just be careful when tightening down next time.

Assuming that this thread is about the STRUT bar. The Racingline instructions have you use the stock bolt, which for my 2010 was kind of dumb because I originally had the same problem (via review on Racingline's website). I went to a automotive shop (Kragen or Autozone, your pick), and I picked up a longer bolt with the same threading.

Eezy-Peezy.

But before you do that, I recommend (As DJ pointed out) checking to see if you had accidentally stripped the threading.

If its going in, tightening for a bit, then popping back out...its stripped. You should even be able to see it on the bolt...like this. Stripped on the left, good on the right.

Reading back through SteveK's solution, Im not sure that I follow 100% but thinking about it more it could be valid. As long as it ties in all components of the tower into one another. You would have to do this from the wheel well I assume? Pics would help.

NoFace you should have received some bolts (2) from Racingline to replace 2 of the stockers. Everything else should have fit back in OK I think. Unless its just a 2010 thing....

Well at last i got the bar down
My screws are like the ones on the right side
U know how the bracket is not the exact shape of the strut tower in our car? (At least my 2010) and u suppose to screw in partial of the screw for each of them, so the others one will be able to lock the bracket into the shape of the strut tower,
but for me some reason it just wont stay in and keeps poping back out -_-
Man that frustrated the crap outta me

Yes sorry I did not make it more clear,

you have a long bolt put washers on both end and screw the nut on and it tightens the strut bar to the car itself

There are three locations to bolt down with the Racingline FSB, you receive two bolts from Racingline (as you indicated) and in the instructions they advice you to use the stock bolt for the middle bolt down. The bar is actually sold as 2007+ so I figured maybe it was just the 2010 that the stock bolt wouldn't fit.

Must be a slight change for the 2010 that was overlooked, you should let Racingline know about it. Maybe get some free merch!
