My Infiniti dealership (Infiniti of Scottsdale) is sponsering so track racing AGAIN under the clever disguise of a drivers safety course.

AZFerrell are you interested? MR Nico AZ Hitman will you be there?I need someone in the backseat that can shoot video while I'm driving

Its at Firebird from 7am - 4:30pm.

One of my buddies is bringing my track tires with him. Wife and son are coming to this one :-)

FX-50 will be there!

Amy Elizondo and another up and coming FEMALE professional driver will be there. http://www.amyelizondo.com/

I'll shoot lots of pictures and video.

Jeff

Why not spare the live of a fellow NICOnaught and still mount the camera?

Hey Jeff, I'm not sure how likely it is i'm going to get a hall pass for this one... Spend half of last week and all weekend at the Hard Rock in Vegas... best friends bachelor party so I owe the wifey a bit of "we" time this weekend. Her school district just laid her and 8 others off due to lack of funding so she's pretty right now. On a high note, I had a raunchy weekend of debauchery at the Hard Rock in Vegas. If you ever get the chance to go I highly recommend it! The pool there is WORLD CLASS!!!!

On a side note, I found out that my car does not govern at 130 like Suby! Don't everyone get all up in my $hit for speeding! I cut through the desert in Indian territory and had a nice long stretch of road so I opened her up and she ran all the way up to 162 without hesitation! I know some of you are going to me for driving that fast on public streets, but technically I wasn't even on U.S soil... I was on the Indian reservation so my excuse is that I was just trying to avoid the apache's from scalping me!

Yep mine runs off the speedo too :-)

Understand about the 'we' time... go take your lumps LOL

My wife and son are coming with me this time so that should be cool!! My wife used to come drag racing with me and ride in the cab before our son was born. She's due in July so we probably won't have her in the car LOL

Thanks man I'll keep that in mind!! This group has a instructor riding shotgun with you at the Infiniti events. They race almost every weekend and I have a "high performance driving license" from them already.http://www.proautosports.com/

I enjoy track racing but I LOVE drag racing. I'm more likely to join a season of drag racing then anything else. I am a pretty good bracket racer. I won the Trophy class at the Hemi Shoot Out last year with my 4 door Ram on the motor

Wow! good goin on that trophy.I am very impressed. You are an all around driver. Both drag and road racing.I checked out proautosports. Thanks for the info.I saw the map of sandia raceway ,and it looks like a track that I would love to try. My pantera has long legs and Sandia has a couple long straights that would let me open it up.Know Im chicken to see what 110 octane costs this time around.I use about 100 gals. a weekend.

We have that problem with the Mustang to, but the Mustang speedo just goes around for a second time. I hear that it will do it three times, but I don't believe it. Of course, I do it in my friend's 6 mile long driveway.

Thanks man... few things make me happier then racing!!

The G runs great on 91 octane I usually run the NOS brand octane boost when racing for a little extra insurance. The G gets 15-16 mpg drag racing so I go out with an 1/8 a tank and get in about 8 races before I have to go buy fuel. At the track last time I did three 20 min sets and used about 1/4 tank.

I've never raced any road track but Firebird. Did you check out the Euro Formula Ford link??? I could really get used to that!

Sounds fun! Have a good time. They do that in DFW sometimes too. Haven't been to one yet, but sounds like something I should make some time to do.

Have fun and be safe.Having a teacher riding shotgun is the best way to learn.Scope out the best teacher early and ask if They will ride with You. If You relax and concentrate on Your lines and technique, by the end of the day,You will be passing all those Yahoos that did not take the time to learn. And if they have a lunch time slow speed session, get out there and practice your lines some more. Those open wheeled cars from the other link are pretty fast, but events with those are few and far between, because most tracks dont let open wheeled cars run with full fendered cars.
