Ok so here it is. I want to offer anyone here that could get the word out on my business free labor for minor repairs. I need to bring in more customers so I can keep the shop open. The first year is always the hardest.

hey, what exactly are you looking for? i dunno how much i could help but i could give out some fliers at the next nissan meet (whenever that'll be) or around school or something. my friend also sometimes goes to some street races somewhere (maybe? the guys is full of b/s), so maybe i cna get him to do something. i might dorp in to check out the shop sometime too, hopefully

I'm just looking To get my name out there and start building clientel. Passing out flyers, cards, and telling your friends is what I'm looking for. Thats the best kind of advertisment. Just need to get them in the door. I can take it from there cause my work will speak for it'self.
As for Sponsorship I don't have enough capital to sponsor anyone yet. But if you want to buy the stuff you need I'll be more than happy to install it for you at no charge. Especially if you can get some customers for me (and put my name on your car of course).

anyhow do you have stickers?? i got a hook up on the windshield banners and stickers if you need any made up ! i can give you the companys name and stuff if you want a quote, right now im lookin at a run off of 100 for our shop and its roughly 5$ a banner which is pretty darn good...

Ok sorry it took so long for me to get back. I've been outside working on the 240 I just got the heads backfrom the machine shop. But N-E WayThe next meet that I've seen so far is at niles and oakton on June 15th Then after that is the Indy meet I think on the 22nd, right (Palmerwind)? I want to be there for both of them. I'm also trying to be at the Hot imports nights on July 26th they're charging me 5.50 per square foot and I'm getting a 10x10 which comes to about 550 it should be worth it though. queamore, sorry ive been busy also, but i found a better deal then ever on some stickers, i got to get a few samples to test out to make sure its a decent deal! but i was quoted 150$ for 100 4"x48" and 12or8" by 1" thats both stickers vinyl for 150$ i couldnt believe it but i want to make sure they are quality stufff

I had a shop for a while and I had the same "let my work speak for itself" philosophy...But let me warn you of one thing:There is a shop down the street from my house called "Racer X Motorsports", someone has already brought them up to you earlier in the post.They "claim" to be affiliated with MotoRex, the company that imports Skylines to the US. That's not true.They run a webpage for sponsorships... If you walk in their door and give them a 75 dollar processing fee they will "sponsor" you.When you want an HKS cat back, the owner tells you to wait while he calls Japan to see if one is in stock... Even though it is 4am in Japan at the time.When something is ordered, it is common to have the price rise upon delivery "because the dollar to yen went down again".They primarily deal with DSM's (their DSM mechanic is pretty good I've heard) and Honda's, of course. The source of their Honda engines and other parts is highly questionable, if you know what I mean.I personally have never been there, I'm kind of bitter since their schemes and fake sponsorships contributed to me shutting my garage doors on my slowly growing shop.A friend of mine did work there for about 3 months and had to leave because of all the b/s that was going on. I just don't want someone to confuse your business with theirs.They claim to be national, and they also claim to be affiliated with MotoRex... Didn't finish what I had to say, crap.I don't know that much about your business, hell you could work on Yugo's (most likely not seeing this is a Nissan/Infinity message board) but I'm supporting you. When you get your stickers done, please send me one for each of my quarter windows!!! Let me know how much you will charge for them and I'll pay it. Good Luck!
Thanks for the advice and the support tougeking. I've been pretty much doing this by myself. No sponsors or anything like that. It's been real hard to do this myself and business has been real slow but I'll make it. and on top of that saying, I also follow the good business morals (no scams). I'm strictly here to help the customer with whatever they need. People like that always get there's, and they get it especially hard when they comeup doing the wrong things. I'm doing this the right way and when a person finds a good honest mechanic they'll travel anywhere to get to them and thats my edge.

Well I want a couple to say Racer X Performance and a couple to have the website http://www.racerxperformance.com for when I actually get up and spend that hundred dollers to get it on another ISP besids my schools. I think I would like the basic recatangle with black back ground and with big white letters italicized. for the small stickers in the windows.
For my car I want four big ones in white letters with the web address to cover the front and back windows and the lower part of the doors. I want them to be pretty long. Long enough to cover the length of the doors and windows.

Well it's not really a shop anymore because I had to pull out of the deal I had with someone. They were B.S.ing around with my money. So I'm working out of my house for a little while.
