I was wanting to know if anyone has installed this system in their car, if it was worth the time to do so, and just what people think?

I hate traction control as it serves only to slow you down, it's a saftey feature aded to newer vihicles to help those who can't determine when to slow down, if your lack of driving ability worries you maybe yiou should just buy a car that comes with traction control?

your an idiot, yes traction control is a safety feature on cars, but it is a feature developed from racing. why do you think so many sports cars come with it, even formula one cars have traction control. its purpose is it helps make adjustments for cornering and handling faster than your brain can respond. you can adjust the amount of slip that you have and even has a launch control feature. i already have plans to buy the system from racelogic.

i took at your link i and don't believe the T.C your wanting is what they are selling. the T.C. used in track cars is very different. They also use a launch control for the take offs. This seems to be more street safety oriented. The T.C you want is designed for like Vipers and Ford GT's. cars for serios power where wheel spin is frequent when not wanted due to the redicules torque they produce at low speeds.

The TC is actually race orientated. it is basically designed to use your ABS module to detect wheel spin. when one of the wheels is spinning in excess to the others its simply cuts either the fuel or the spark to help reduce power to allow the spinning tire to reconnect and rotate at the same speed the others are moving. with there setup you can control the amount of slip you want whether it be 0% or 20%. it is designed so as you are taking a corner if one of your wheels looses grip it regains it for you. now a driver can do this on his own but the TC can do it faster then a human being can react. as for the launch control, it does come with it. you can utilize it for standing starts at a race or a drag race to hold the rpm you want if though you have the gas at full throttle. the traction control you see in todays cars is a byproduct of the system designed for racing. car manufacturers utilize it because it will help on regular street cars to help keep the driver in control of the car. the only difference in street and racing is how aggressive the system is. read uphttp://pdm-racing.com/products/racelogic.html

thats a balanced mature responce, start off with name calling!? well at least we established your credibility

and clearly you are not a racer and have never tried to race a car equipped with TCS, go to any autocross, drag race, road course and enay car that came equipped is either permanantly disabled or the drivers switches ti off at the start line

If you are going to do a lot of roadcourses go ahead and get it, but i would wait until after you have done all your suspension and engine mods
