Race with KA-T

hi guys:

Does any SR owner ever race with the KA-T? If yes, can you please share your "EXPERIENCE ONLY"! I am sure that we had enough from those "SR vs KA" thread. However, please share your experience and information only!

I ran a 13.8 with my SR at 1 bar, my buddy at the same track ran a 13.7 at 10psi. So he was a little quicker. The thing is he blew his engine on his third run. =(

I think my friend(s) KA-t's would take me, of course one has a 60-1 and the other a T3/T4 against my little bitty t25.Have a T3 just need to put it on.I have much respect for the KA though.

You have to do a lot of tuning to an SR, to get it to the point where it can hang with a KA-T in the 1320.

The one guy with a KA-T here in Orlando will not race me. The last KAT I built was significantly slower than my SR as well for whatever that's worth. Jay's old car was quicker, but we also had the head off that motor about once every 2 months.

You have to do even more tuning with a ka-t to minimize the 1320 because it's not built for turbo applications

I hear that alot of KA-t guys run into problems ahving to pull the head off all the time. I just dont get it....I dont have that problem. Neither does my buddy, klattr.

Its kind of like apples to oranges. Both motors cna make really respectable numbers, but there are always going to be faster sr's than ka's and vice versa.

I am a KA fan myself. Its all about torque with me. I have great top end too. I wonder what ill be like with the rom tuning from secret services when they can finally do the s14 ecu's. I cant wait.Jwt is doign fine for me right now--but i want a ROM tune--just seems like a nice way to go.
