Well i have been going out to the track the last few weeks. The first week I ran 19.9 and 20.1's. Then i took off my "bling bling" rims and now i run 19.3-19.5 So that helped. I think i pretty much got my rims sold. Should i get the exhaust and leave the stock wheels or get the montegi wheels that i want that are lighter.:help

what model/year do u have ,as well as mods? no offense but 19.3 is pretty bad, i can almost run that fast, no, j/k, what was ur reaction times on these runs, and also, how many miles do u have on ur car, and as far as the exhaust, it probably wont give u that much power, personally for hte look and weight, id go with the wheels, welcome to NICO, hope we're atleast somewhat informative

i appreciate the welcome. You know what, the thing about this is that i dont race to please other people. I do it for the adreniline. Yes i only get 19.3, but soon ill get better and faster. I dont need others telling me that my car sux, i like it and thats all that matters.

my apologies, i understand your need for adrenaline, and to tell you the truth, your car probably doesnt feel that slow once you get all excited and take off from that line, i didnt mean for my post to sound as so much of a put down to your car, i just thought something was possibly wrong with it, as a 2oosx properly running should hit high 16s to mid 17s, do u have a 5spd?, o, and another thing i noticed, atleast your times and reactions are consistant, and not bad reactions either, keep working on your driving skills and get some mods on that car, you;ll have plenty of fun with it

yea, thats probably whats killing you is hte automatic, most autos (with the exception of maybe corevettes, or something of that nauture) shift clean, and consistant, but consistantly SLOW, i'd be willing to bet if i had a 5spd, my car would shift qiucker ;)

It only shifts a fast as the driver. LOL With the auto you know that you will never miss a shift!;) Welcome to Nico.I have never ran my Spec V but I know that I should. We only have a 1/8 close and I hate to run on the short track. The 1/4 mile dragstrip is about 2 hours away. One day ill make it out to try it.We love photos if you have any.

he has sent me a couple vids throuhg aim, and although they r at night and you can't see the scoreboard, you'd never know his car is a 19sec car, i did some homework on his 2oosx however, and most info i can find says he should be running high 16s, so theres an obvious problem, but he has no mods, so im stumped, take her in for a tune up and check everything ??

Just because a car can run 14's in a 1/4mi doesnt meet that the driver can get it to do that, Rob. It takes practice and work.

SweetrideNaz-How are you launching your car? I am sure that might be making the difference. Also, make sure that your car is running to factory specs. Let us know if we can help.

Launching it as in taking off. Well i am reving to about 2000rpm's Then on third yellow i gun it. I need an egr valve. That is all i think i need for now. I am getting new wheels today.(totally off topic) but they are lighter. I've changed the oil, had a tranny service. So i dont know what else i could do.

wel of cousre, i understand what you're saying, but he's got an automatic (which rules out bad shifts for the most part) and he knows where hte gas pedal is, and if factory says he has a 16sec car, and he's running low 19s, theres an obvious problem, its not like he's .5 off from factory performance, he's 3full sec. off, thats why i assume something is wrong

Its real close.I would think a bit faster than the sentra. It only has 2 doors so I'm thinking its lighter. What is the time on the Sentra SER vs 200sx SER ?

yea, well im sure you know you dont have a super sporty fast car ,but i still think your engine isnt up to par (from the factory i mean) that is quite a bit of time to run in the quarter or that 13sec o-6o without having some kind of problem
