K before i start i wanna say i searched and searched for answers to this problem, so dont flame me with b.s! I just want some help and i wanna get this done so help me out!

I just purchased a nismo bucket seat from a girl in town who had it on her s13, she sold it to me for 120 which is awesome considering it's in awesome condition. It's a passenger seat I'm mounting to my driver side, it fits, so don't worry that's not my question.

It came with rails and brackets which fit when flip flopped but a couple are backwards since ts a pass seat. Now I need to know if there's anyway possible to get the oem seat brackets off the sliders?! They would work great but I have no clue how to get em off! And as of right now the seat is half a**ed in my car for the night. I know it's not fully installed so it will fit kinda weird, but it seems like im sitting 6 inches higher then my oem seat. Shouldn't race seats drop you?? Please just give me some insall tips and help. Once again please don't flame me, I'm just looking for some answers so I can get this done. Thanks alot!

well first off i hope u know u bought knock off seats...not a big deal...just dont refer to them as nismo and second i know it is possible to use your oem brackets and sliders on your new seats....but it would take alot of modification...best bet is to buy a new bracket. and yes racing seats on the average make you sit alot higher...im 6'3" and i almost need to install a sun roof to put my head out with my racing seats....

What about the super low sliders. Thought those sat lower than stock.

^ From everything I read they do. The Buddy Club rails or Nagisa super low rails will have you sitting lower than stock.http://www.frsport.com/Seat-Rail_c_139.htmlIf anyone reads this I have never managed to get this question answered. Do stock S14 seat belts work with bucket seats, for instances buddy club racing seats?

NO. Bride rails are the lowest. I have Buddy Club rails and they sit high as s***. MGE has the exact same seat in his car with Bride FG rails and his bucket sits lower than the passenger seat.

hope you guys realize that you're telling him to get sidemount brackets when he probably has a bottom mounted seats. It won't work.

OP, do a search for wedge engineering brackets for your ride. I had them when I had my old sparco speed seat (another bottom mounted seat). They don't sit super low... but then again, you're really limited on options with bottom mounted seats.

Thanks for the help guys. Adrian, how much do those wedge brackets run? I'm kinda limited on $ so that's kinda another problem. The girl who sold me the seat said they mounted up as is, but I have no clue how it would. I need to get this done before the import meet tonite! Ughhhhh.

i have the bride super low bracket. it fixed my seat position problem. but if you get a adjustable seat, just by the design its going to sit high. i am 6'0", and with my corbea a4 adjustable seat and the bride bracket, i only have 1-1/2" of head room. but my friend has a cobeau fixed seat & their sliders which are about 2+ inches tall & i sit at almost the same height. so if you got a fixed seat and the nagisa auto side mount sliders that should get you the lowest you can possibly go without fabrication.

if your super tall, and have skills like this dude, you can do thishttp://www.mestiso.net/forums/...t=380

if the seats are bottom mount and you are tall, the wedge brackets will sit to high, i have that setup now with a recaro SRD and i sit to high, i have ordered a Bride Type MO Seat rail from FRSport, they will sit the lowest for bottom mount.

Got my seat mounted! Used a dremel, hammer and butter knife to cut and pry the oem mounts off. They work perfect! Fit amazing an the seat is SOLID! Thanks fo the advice guys! Now my "nismo" seat and Personal wheel combo is awesome.
