R51 Pathfinder Recovery Points

Hi All

I having been having a hard time finding recovery points for my 2007 pathfinder. There available in Australia of course, but it costs about 100$ to ship from what i can see.

I found this listing which suggests that the GU Patrol Series 2-on/Pathfinder R51/Landcruiser 80/100/105 Series can all use the same parts though I did see some suggestion that the pathfinder might require different sized bolts.

Has anyone tried Landcruiser 80/100/105 Series on an r51 pathfinder like these which at least appear to ship free?

Also is a tow hitch receiver like this from smittybilt appropriate for a rear recovery point or should I look for a frame mounted option?

So I did a very quick and partial check.

The set comes with 4 larger and 4 smaller bolts and washers. it also has a two metal plates with welded nuts on them. One accepts the smaller bolts and one accepts the larger bolts.

The frame of the pathfinder has two welded nuts at each mount location that line up with the other holes on the recovery points. These nuts accept the smaller nuts.

My plan is to cut the plate that accepts the larger nut in half and to use one half on each side. This should work just fine.

However, you could buy another one of the smaller bolts and use that on one side and the larger on the other.

However, nothing is official until I actually get them installed.
