That is a rumor, and is not true. Chris (MinisterOfDoom) and I talked to Trey Cobb from Cobb Tuning about this because they had aftermarket wheels on their R35. He said that it's all rumors. The only thing it does is cause a dash light saying there is a malfunction with the wheel sensors, but does not affect the car "starting" or even driving for that matter.rcabrita wrote: When I said:

Also, he said just like any other wheel, you can pull the tires off and swap the sensors onto new rims with no problem.
