While my baby is being taken care of @ ripp motorsports, I have a picture of her rear end on my desktop that I stare at while at work (have to take what I can get until I get her back)...long story short...is there any reasoning behind the clear and red reverse lights? Pardon my naivity, but do all skylines (or jdm vehicles) have the same light scheme? and why?

I would just like to answer people when they ask me...appreciate all the assistance, this forum is full of knowledge.

the clear lens is your reverse light, the red is your fog light

I know I've heard the reasoning before, but why do some vehicles have rear "fog" lights? And why do they both light up when the vehicle is in revferse?

i think the ones with the reverse and fog`s could had been made for UK market as well.like any company why make 2 different when make all the same for less.the R34 was allowed into UK untill a few years ago before they changed there grey market laws

the red "fog light" in the back is for the cars behind you...the fog light is brighter than even brake lights (just aimed low), and red cuts through fog best (for visiblity, though not ambient light, hence why red isn't used for front fog lights)
