Race gas is only going to add power if you tune for it just so you know. In our motors you can run unleaded or leaded it doesn't matter. The leaded is usually cheaper and easier to find. If your not looking to add power but need it to run really good for like a day at the track or something, I suggest getting c12 and mixing it 50/50 with some good 93, like Sunoco or any name brand. It will run extremely clean, but its not really going to add any power. Higher octane is just to prevent detonation, if you don't tune for it or have really high compression its not going to give any additional ponies. Usually you can notice that its running cleaner though. And smells pretty good too. All in all its not worth it unless your set up to use it better off putting the money towards something else.

FYI.you can make your own race fuel, all it takes is toluene or xylene. they are similar to acetones and paint thinner but of a better grade.toluene is a highly refined petro product, and xylene is even more refined. i make it for most of my bikes and have never had a problem(but i don thave o2 sensors so i dont know about cars) here is a good site to check it out... http://members.rennlist.com/95....html
