is there any difference in the installation of the r34 rb25det into an s13 as an r33 rb25? also does anyone know the differences between the engines? maybe the reasons it has about 30 more hp..

if you could that would be very helpful, thanks!:D

maggala's site says it matches the gt-r with 206 kw

venus auto has an rb25det for sale with the claimed hp of 280

and i've seen at a few other places the same thing, still the rb25det and still rwd, just 280hp..

i dunno, this is just what i've read.. i suppose the hp boost is irrelevant being as though there is still an AWD version for nissan to cash in on..

another site, they call it the 25gt turbo but the same hp rating.. just giving the gt-r a higher kw rating of 208

another site saying 280

Available sequintial shift auto.AKA Manumatic. I believe it's a 4 speed. Most of what I've read statesthe max "276". The rb36dett states "276" as well, but I don't think anyone here thinks the gtr has only "276".

I would guess that the rb25det number is probably more accurate, but without someone running some tests, we may never know.

If someone buys me one I'll dyno it :)

yeah its a NEO 6. there is a s13FB on ebay that claimed 800hp with this engine but im sure its a type O or BS, same difference. It might offer valve timing or a better turbo. but dont know for a fact. it could be opened up exhaust flow, better cams..only a skyline guru could tell you, if anywhere, they can be found on Skylines Down Under

Guys, if your looking for an RB25 motor and plan to run 12+ psi boost on the stock turbo I highly suggest trying to find a series one motor. The turbos in the series one motors are a little better but still have reliability issues above 12 psi. I'd suggest finding yourself a good T3/T4 or a T3 hybrid turbocharger to replace the stocker if you got the money.

Meggala you should recognize me from the Skylines Australia forum mate ;) .

i know, i didn't think you liked me on hs.. you kept startin ****, but still, i have no problems with you..

anyway, i would be replacing the turbo on the rb anyway, i just wanted to know any other things that may be different, if it's just the turbo then why would you get one? ya know?

ps: i saw that car on ebay, but still i doubted it's validity, the thread on here says that it dyno'd at 482.7 hp.. far cry from 800 to the wheels or crank..

I'm just pestilant, if I dont like you I'll say it straight out. Either way I was more or less trying to let you know what I know.

Other than the turbo there is no difference between the two. If your replacing the turbo then grab either one. Need a manifold with a T4 flange? :D :ylsuper

Top feed is easier to source cheaper injectors for.

Not this year, I went last year though. My car was in the shop with electrical problems.

Passing on limecreek road is more than a little dangerous. I was almost creamed the weekend I bought my Z by some old dude in a prowler, he came around the corner too fast and went wide. If I had been used to the Z and goin all out, I would have had a shiney purple hood ornement.

Unfortunatly I got the "slow" na z32. I need to fix that :) At least it looks good.

Where is Lime Creek Rd. Yes, lived in Round Rock the past 10 years, and still don't recognize it. :D
