im just thinkin about when i get my rb25det swap into my 93 240, is there anyway i could hook up that lcd panel that comes with the r34 gtr rb26det engine and get it hooked up to the rb25det engine. it reads G force and all this cool little info.

I'm far from an expert on this, but I know you'd have to get G sensors to hook up to it at the very least. I have no idea on the compatibility between the LCD and the RB25 though.

i figured that, but i was also wondering if those g sensors were in the device that the lcd screen is housed in or what? and whether the device is compatible in anyway to the rb25det

I doubt it would work, the LCD displays torque splits between the front and rear of the GT-R's ATTESA all wheel drive system. Depends on how the sensors have to be hooked up and if it will work with just some of the sensors hooked up. Either way $$$

I'm not sure about using the skyline unit but I know HKS makes a system called the "CAMP" that will display car info speed/rpm/boost type stuff on an lcd display. The electronics and stuff cost about $350, then you still need to get the LCD. I think it would look pretty cool though. I hope to go that route eventually.

That LCD displays g-force, boost, temp, GPS, attessa, etc.. there is a slim chance you could hook it up. But most likely you would need a R34 electronics guru to tell ou. Carter said was I was gonna say about the HKS camp system. Its an amazing system that used RCA type connectors for video. im planning this for a later phase in my project but running it through a indash lcd/dvd/cd deck so u can save space and not have lcd just floating around in the shifting car..the S15 Spec R also has this LCD screen but isnt always permanent viewable like the GTR is. its a pop up but that might be better option..i wonder if someone wouldnt mind supplying that assymbly or helping me find one for my s14...

The HKS CAMP in it's stock form is just okay in my opinion. I'd give it a 5 out of 10. The cool thing about it is that you can buy add-on sensors (junction box) and other goodies that make it much more useful. The only problem is that those are nearly impossible to find now as the CAMP has been discontinued for years now. Good luck with that one.

Taka Kaira says they have it on their website. I have never ordered anything from this company. They seem like a good source for hard to find parts though.

get an Apexi Speed meter, much cheaper. They can read 95% of what the GTR R34 display can, for much cheaper.
