Hey guys, I've got a vibration that I have narrowed down to my drive shaft, so this isnt a whats the vibrations thread, and since this vibration developed over time I would say its not a balance issue, and I doubt I twisted her So I'm looking to replace the U joints on the drive shaft that Nissan made not to be replaced lol. my 1 piece drive shaft is made from a R33 stock shaft so would need to find the equivalent. If you've ever paid attention to the U joints they are pressed in and then the collar is "crushed" so it can't be replaced. My thought after talking to a drive shaft guy would be to machine out that collar which is the easy part the hard part is finding the replacement U joint. If someone can confirm for me that the S14 U joints are indeed smaller then the R33/Z32 U joints that would be awesome. I figure I can't be the first to think of this and someone has to of had U joint issues and not wanted to get a new drive shaft. Any help would be appreciated!

Check out my broken driveshaft thread. When I got a new DS, I had both joints replaced entirely with rebuildable joints so when I break another driveshaft it won't cost me $265. I can't remember off hand what size they were, but this thread might list it.

Yeah just get a one piece made with rebuild able u joints, any drive shaft shop should be able to do it for you.
