If I use a Z32 N/A VSS with the R33 cluster, would that convert the output to mph?

Would I just need the speed sensor, or is the pinion needed as well?

There is a way to convert the r33 cluster to MPH . you have to open up the cluster and weld a few things.. I tried finding the link for you but i can't find it... its in another forum.

Does this fix the odometer? I'll probably yank out my speedo and do this, this weekend

That sounds right. The numbers are solely for the speedo calibration.

did this today and now speedo doesn't work at all. after finding the original thread there is a lot more to the convo, 10 pages actually.

The original poster of the pictures above also cut the "PESL" connection, its hard to see in the picture but he actually cut the PCB (printed circuit board) so I'm going to open my speedo back up and instead of cutting the PCB I'm going to try and just de-solder the jumper. Hopefully this will fix my speedo

but some people have had to desolder 4 and 5 and a lot of other combinations.
