r33 series 1 or series 2

how do i know which one i have...they said that all series 2 have dual airbags but mine doesnt...i know i have a series 2...i thinkplease help...thanks

by the way...which do you guys prefer: HKS fpr or NISMO fpr??

Are you referring to the car itself or the RB engine?

If you are asking about the engine, let me know and I will move this over to the RB section as you might get better response over there.

as far as the car its self this is a series 2

and the inside



now for a series 1 inside

and the bumper is also diffrent

look at the red car

my car looks like the red car but only in white; however, my motor doesn't have the resistor box for my ignitors like series 1...i am confused...thanks

you have an series 2 motor in the series 1 car. 1 of 2 things happened 1st the motor was blowen up in Japan and you got a new motor. 2 the shop putting your car back together put the wrong motor in the car good for you mabey? I have a freind of mine whom bought a R33 and did not know and his car turned out to be and abortion car he has a 1995 R33 Series 2 motor series 1 maf and wring harness the motor is constanly fowling plugs and running rich I do not know why? Fuel pump went out after 2 days of having the car.

1 check the spark plug gap 2 check your MAF and make sure you are in time 100% 3 Check and make sure your coil packs are good and firing right and are clean from corriosion.

Dose your car brake up at the high RPM's?

yeah i am starting to belive that all RB25 do that or at least every one that i have owned. check those three things if it still goes on hit me up and i will see if i can help you more. Do you have cld start problems as well?

Yes Sir...it starts and then dies in cold weather...thanks

then also check the temp sensor that goes to the ECU ther is 2 of them. The smaller one goes to the gauge cluster and the bigger one goes to the ECU un plug the one to the ECU on a cold start and see if it starts right up if it dose then that is your problem.
