I have R33 Brakes all around on my 240SX. Can you use 300ZX Rotors with the R33 Calipers? Or other Nissan car Rotors?

I THINK SO .. THE R33 IS 10MM BIGGER THAN THE Z32.. SO IN OTHER WORDS THE R33 HOLDS BIGGER DISKS SO A SMALLER ONE (Z32) SHOULD WORK FINE...HMM IM GOING TO LOOK INTO THAT FOR YOU IF YOU WANT CALL ME LATER ON..

Call up Courtesy Nissan they had my friends R32 GTR rotors in-stock.They might have yours. Are you talking about GTS or GTR Brakes???They are different.

The GTR rotors are thicker 32 mm compared to the Z32 which are 30mm. They are also larger diamter. You can use them, but your going to have to change your padsbefore they are totallly worn out or you can get Two 1mm spacers made.

i asked this question awhile ago, I went to nissan and they said that they offered an actual upgrade to the Z32 TT brakes, and they are the same as the Skylines. But he couldn't tell me if the stock Z32 rotors would work in the R33 calipers

dont see why they wouldnt, r33 rotors are 114.3x5 32 mm and the z32 are 114.3x5 30 mm if TT and 26 mm if N/A same diameter, it would be just like having resurfaced rotors slightly skinnier. Besides the box of green stuff pads says on it, skyline, z32, WRX..... so yup

all nissan 5 lug is 114.3x5, that is irrelevant. r33 gt-r is brembo so that is also irrelevant. r33 gts-t is 10mm bigger in diameter than z32, same thickness (30mm). r32 gt-r is also 10mm bigger than z32 and 32mm. i wouldnt be surprised if the PADS are all the same, but if you use a 10mm smaller diameter rotor it will eat into the pad and give you less surface contact. the answer to the original question is no, you're not supposed to but you can. try shopping for the bigger rotor. not sure if the gt-r rotor will work since its 2mm thicker than r33 gts-t.

AFAIK all of the sumitomo 2 pot rears are the same caliper/rotor.

x2

My brake pads hang about a 1/4" over the edge of the 300z rotor....need skyline rotors.

hmm.. interesting now that you say that, I have a 1/4 inch of unused pad on my car as well... maybe jarco slipped in some 300zx rotors instead.. or maybe the owner of my clip just used 300zx rotors....

Sure about that? The diameters are both 296, but I always thought the rotor thicknesses were different. I've never measured an R32 GTR caliper so I dont know, but I've always read they're 32mm.

My R33 GTS-T's are 30mm.
