Does anyone know if this would work? The R34 uses a pull type clutch which is very expensive to replace and theres not much of a selection. I didnt know if the R33 and R34 transmission are interchangable.

Yeah they are the same from what I have been told except for the R34 GTR's Getrag it has. There is a conversion kit that OS Giken sells which allows you to convert the pull clutch to a push type.

Well after searching on the web and other forums I found that a R34 RB25 transmission can be converted to push type for a couple hundred dollars with the parts below:

Part - Nissan Part #Front Cover - 32110-05U11 Front Cover Gasket - 32112-05U11 Throwout Bearing Sleeve - 30502-14601 Clutch Release Fork - 30531-01S00 Pivot Spring - 30534-E9000 Bearing Retaining Spring - 30514-14600

I figured though by the time I converted to push type, bought a new clutch and new flywheel I could get a Exedy single disc clutch with flywheel for about the same price. Also from what I've read pull clutches engauge better because they are attached to the pressure plate springs

dont forget tho man, everytime that clutch goes bad you need to replace it, so if you plan on seriously drifting/dragging this 240 and punishing the clutch, you might actually save money in the end.. depends really on what you plan to do with it. if its just a daily/weekend fun toy, id say your allright.

yes, you can. i am using an r34 rb25 trans with a push type clutch. i did the conversion myself. you need to tap two holes, and dont forget to get the slave cylinder. not sure if the slave cylinder is the same.. mine didnt come with one so i couldnt make a comparison. don't worry about buying a front cover gasket. reuse the pull type one. it's metal anyways and the same thing.
