Hello NICO,

I have SFTA and it's been difficult to obtain a reliable, straightforward answer for a question about part swap-fitment information. I am helping my friend find an install replacement front & rear rotors on his 1995 Skyline GTS25T.

I work for an auto parts aftermarket wholesaler who happens to carry a vast selection of USDM replacement parts. Unfortunately, none of the Skylines or other JDM only vehicles are available for lookup in any of our paper or electronic catalogs. If I was to replace both Front and Rear, Brake Pads and Rotors for his 95' GTST, which USDM vehicle could I reference parts from with 100% accuracy.

If you are absolutely sure that there isn't any USDM vehicle to reference parts from, the please point me in the right direction with a) OE Part Numbers b) aftermarket brand part numbers c) if all else fails, the exact measurements of the rotors and pads.

Your help is very greatly appreciated! It's been a while since I've been on here but was the first choice in my head for help in this field of information.

Thanks in advance!

-CK

Check them to a Z32 Fairlady Z for size.

Those might work.

As for pads, possibly off of the same vehicle. I would take a rotor and a set of pads to a dealer/brake shop and compare what they would have in stock to see if you could cross reference them.

If those won't work, let me know and I'll see if I can find the part numbers from an R33 GTS25-t and let you know what they are.

Go to http://www.DBA.com.au

Plug your car in the search. It will list the overall dimensions of the rotor. I would measure your rotors just to make sure they're on par with DBA.

As for the pads i'm not too sure. I guess you can send me the pad shape and i could find it that way.

Thank you for the info guys. Part numbers might help. I think we have the pads right, but it seems that the rotors are slightly different. The rear rotors on a Z32 don't have the inner size/space for the emergency brake setup (drum type) that the GTST needs....but the rear pads are identical!

After finding out the rear rotor didn't fit, we gave up trying out the fronts because it was outside and too cold up here in NY now... brrr

I have a feeling that the front pads and rotors from the Z32 might not fit anyway...

We appreciate your help

The pads from a 300zx should work all around. We have the fronts from a GTST on our Time Attack 240sx, The rotors are very similar to a Non-Brembo Z33 350Z. I have a set of OEM Z33 rotors that I need to still try out, I know that the outside diameter and thickness are similar, not sure about the offset from the hat though. Goodluck!

z32 300zx front n rear rotors r the same along with the pads, the only diff is some of the calipers were aluminum and some iron, the aluminum calipers had a 26mm thick rotor and the iron had a 30mm wide rotor, these sizes r fro the front, rears should be the same

^wrong R33 is a different beast, We had Z32 calipers and R33 next to each other, where the pads are the same the rotors/calipers are very different. He has already tried Z32 rotors with no luck. NO he is searching for solutions.

Like Magik said they are different. Those rotors are unique to the GTST. DBA is the only company that I have found that can get the rotors. Forget trying to find 2 peice rotors unless your making them yourself. They are great brakes, now if only you could get the parts easier.

You are right MagikDragon--So far I will confirm that the REAR ROTORS are not the same as the Z32 300ZX, as the R33 GTST's emergency brake/parking brake assembly needs a larger diameter and breadth of the inner-rotor.

Thank you for confirming the truth. It's imperative we keep all user contributed data clean

I will agree that DBA has the specs and the parts available for purchase directly from their website. If and when we can find an *EXACT* match for the 1995 R33 GTS25T to the application fitment of a USDM vehicle, we will be sure to dig up this thread and contribute in perfect detail on how to proceed.

Nope, z32 rotors are 280mm, r33 gtst rotors are 296mm. If you use the smaller rotor you can use the smaller caliper but you wouldn't want to.

Perfect. I think we will choose to do just that, as our need for changing the complete friction setup is needed soon.

Cheers!
