R33 GTST 5 speed input shaft bearing

Anyone replaced input shaft bearing on this trans? I've looked around for exploded trans pic , no luck. Was hoping you could pull front cover to get at bearing without splitting whole trans. A little leery of jumping into this learn as ya go and have needle-bearings or god knows what fall out. Any help appreciated.
