R33 doesn't idle. Any Ideas

I have a R33 GTS with a RB25DET and it doesn't idle. Once the car start is revs between 1000 and 1800 rpms for about 30 sec before it cuts back off if i don't apply gas. I was told to check my MAFS (Mass Air Flow Sensor) or IAC (Idle Air Control) but I can't find either. Any ideas how to locate of any ides on what it can be causing will be greatly appreciated.

Can't supply you with any pictures at the moment.

However:

MAFS: looks like a black soda can connected to inline after the AIR FILTER and before the TURBO on the intake pipe. Has 1 plug with either 3 or 5 wires (depending on what year you have)

IACV: Is a little mechninism located on the bottom of the intake manifold that has a huge vaccume hose running to the front along with coolent lines running in and out of it. It should have a purple plug on it as well.

You might want to check the TPS (Throttle position sensor) as well as check your basic parts such as spark plugs, fuel injectors, ignition timing, etc.

If you don't know what you are looking for or how to check these items I HIGHLY suggest you either download the FSM (factory service manual) or take it somewhere that knows what to do.

Sounds like a post MAF air leak. Make sure a hose did not pop off.
