I got my Rb25DET clip in yesterday had to go pick it up at the state dock and port terminal. It all has 7000Km on it and I got everything in the front clip except the body itself, rear lsd and axles. Question is, will the R33 axles work with the LSD in the 240? I know the LSD fits but since the output shafts match the axles I'd figure they go in also. the only thing that would be stopping me is spline count on the hubs and lenghts.

It would suck if I would break an axles though because then I would either have to find a skyline axle or switch the output shafts and get the stock axles. Thanks for your help guys and I already did search and came up with nothing.

I'd figure someone would ask lol. Yes it is 7000KM about 4,500 miles. I **** when I saw it had to buy it. $2,400 shipped to the terminal, I clear customs and pick it up.

a buddy of mine has been in japan for a couple of months now and he hooked me up with a junkyard that sells parts and cars through contracts only. His dad goes every now and then to get equiptment for his business so he decided to tag along. I'm getting kouki tail lights for 30 bucks + shipping and he got a crx glass top for 46 bucks and threw it in the container with his dads equiptment I'm going to see if I can get more stuff so I can post some deals on here when he gets back. I'm sure he'll come back with a **** ton of stuff.

Wow... I am so very jealous. I don't know whether to love you or hate you!!!

I think you will soon be my new best friend!!!

Seriously.. congrats on an AWESOME DEAL! See if you can take advantage of your Japan hookup and help out your buddies here on NICO. I am in the market for an S13 front if you have the chance... (start with the lights and fenders... )

wish I could answer your question about the axles/LSD.. I don't have a clue. But I am very excited to hear about your sweet deal, and the possibility of other awesome deals in the future.

Just to let you know....J30 output shafts fit the differential. I was too lazy to change stock axles so I popped the 95 up output shafts in there and work like a charm. I think 93-94 J30 has 5 point axles as well---which I think you can use. If you have any trouble finding new axles for the r33 rear end---I have spare r33 skyline axles that I didnt use. I had J30 in my car but didnt like the gear ratio so I used the R33 differential.

You can love me an be jelous at the same time You'll know if I start posting deals on here. I'll see if I can get you an s13 front end. I might even know some drifters around here that might have em sittin around. I talk to my connection and he told me that he can get a set of used, with 5k miles, Full Tein Coilovers for about 600. half the cost and comes with pillow mounts and upper camber plates for the S13.

I plan on doing alot with the motor... all I need now is to get mounts, paint the engine bay (doing a clean *** install), and figure the wiring out. I'm a wiring genius so It'll be easy lol. After that its easy street. Later on when I get some more money It'll be having a GT30R or 42R depending on how much money I have. Plan on running 11's wont be surprised if I get into the 10s hehe. But when I get the chance I'll make a list of everything I know people will want around here and send it to him and see what he can get.

Y3llowS14:yeah I knew they fit but I don't want to have to go and buy a set of output shafts if the R33 axles will fit with the lsd. And since you already had output shafts all you had to do was swap then into your R33 pig. All I want to know is if the stock output shafts and axles from a R33 (5 star) will bolt directly up to the S13 without anymods. Thanks guys!

He's not at the coast... he's in Detroit according to his profile.

I don't want the whole S13 front. I plan on a CF hood and an R33 front bumper... so I need the headlights, center plate, fenders, bumper support etc... If you can help me out that would be very cool!

Oh I can so get you those parts. Yeah I am in detroit. I used Beja Customs House Brokers They are so easy to work with and they charged me 202 to have everything cleared! The clip was sent over by boat then it was trained to Detroit. Dave Beja cleared it while it was on the train and I had the motor in about 4-5 weeks. I can get you their info if you ever need to clear anything. What they charge is based on the value. And since alot of people value it as 500 bucks then the broker kicks down the price. I'm about to post some pics in a new thread so you guys can check that out. Thanks guys -Alex

Well I finally got to doing the swap. The rear end bolts up except I had to change the hat cover from 2 to 4 bolt and I think I need bushings in the front? if I can't get them I'm going to have a friend mill me some CNC spacers.

As for the axles that were a perfect match up! I take a closer look.... the idiot uses a hammer to take the axle out of the hub and now i have a big mushroom on the end. So I grinded it down with at an angle making the end to a point then try to start a bolt. Got one YAT-ZEE!! Then I Screwed the second one up and fooked up half of the threads in the one axle.... nothing I can do but try to find a die and chase the threads down. Hopfully that works...

I called a driveshaft shop here in Mi they said they could get any 300zx axles anywhere because I wanted to put a new outter cv joint on it, and they said if I would have grinded it down they could have threw it on a lath and milled it down and started the nut. so if you ever screw a driveshaft up don't grind it, send it out and have it put on a lath. It will save you the trouble.

Anyone know where I can find a die? I believe its a 22mm with a 1.5 pitch. I went to a local tool store and they said they don't have one but can probably get one and are calling me tomarrow.

I doing a write up of the complete swap and rear end swap later on sometime.

The axles should fit perfectly---they were the same size as my J30 alxes. But I didnt use neither. I used the stock bushings fits fine on my S14. As for the die and threader----I believe Sears has some. I just got one for 1/2 npt fitting. Good luck.

yeah they went up just perfect. I am an idiot though... I had the long right side driveshaft and wasn't thinking right.... I put it on the short left side and it would fit. I was so pissed lol. I must have been fighting with it for atleast 15 mins before I realized WTF am I doing!? This one goes on the other side! hSears ha alot of things but the nut for the axles are oddball ones. Sears wouldn't have the size I need. I had to special order the size from a strictly tool company and he still says he might not be able to get it so hes going to call tomarrow. hey did you ever get my email asking you how much you wanted for your R33 axles? Thanks bro-Alex

Ah I see. Well I'll keep that in mine when I come up with some money I'll buy em just to have an extra set layin around. I managed to fix the one i messed up. No one made a tap for it in the US so I had to use a thread file and I filed on it for literally 4 hours! Got it started and worked it back and forth and lubed it went on fine. Thanks bro for the support-Alex
