Any way this will work? They look very different, but I'm just thinking that might open some options.

Used parts may be imported cheaply and rebuilt, modified and used on S13.

IE Bilsteins.

I guess Bilsteins are only found in Japan now.

Go for it, but if you need to ask about cross compatibility your better off ordering some new shocks/struts.

Search for the FSM's and compare diagrams, some parts are compatible but again... why? junk yards are FULL of 240 parts.. only a few of the R32 parts are even worth the time to put on an s13.

Well the topic is pretty hard to find. Everyone swaps brakes and what not but no-body talks about the suspension.

The two look very different, and I'm sure it wouldn't be worth it, but just looking for someone to talk me out of it.

Bilstein's can be used from the 3000GT, but the rears are a little more difficult. It'd be cool to find a used set, but that's pretty rare as well.

Koni's are still the #1 option, but it'd be awesome to pick up a set of compatible or easily modified $100 Bilsteins.

I would search to see if Bilstein makes anything for the Z32... The rear knuckle on the z32 would probably open up some doors shock/strut combo wise.

The r32 and z32 suspension are almost identical. There really wouldn't be much of a benefit to swapping the stuff around other than the cool factor. The way that I see it, your looking to be able to use $100 used shocks, rebuild them ($), and put them on your custom suspension (time $). By the time your done you have a ton of time and money into something and now it's harder to get replacement parts than if you kept to what the car came with.

Just my thoughts, but I really don't think it's worth all the work unless your building an all out race car, and at that point money isn't really much of an issue anymore anyway.
