The 86' is a cool car. Will be an interesting project.
It sounds like your going to make it AWD? Nice plan if so...! I'd have to say that it would be easier if you had wound up with the motor and transmission in a front clip as you could graft in the inner fender wells and 'coilover tower' to your Bimmer for a perfect fit for all the GTR suspension. Everything else up front is cross member mounted so you'd be good to go.
If you just want to know if the "Upper Link Bracket" (the part with the 4 studs) needs to go in a certain place in order to keep the "Upper Link" (the arm between the bracket and the "Third Link") at a certain angle, then I can tell you what angle my upper link is on my 94 GTR. The pivot center on the body bracket is right at 1 inch lower than the pivot on the Third Link. My car has been lowered a bit so I can imagine that it was probably fairly neutral from the factory to limit the amount of suspension load induced camber.
These parts are listed and have a decent drawing on page CH-220 to CH-222 in the factory service manual found here...

Here would be a good place to shop for a stripped front clip I would imagine. There are those folks that want an RB26 but are going with the 25 pan and transmission. You may just find all the suspension mounting sheet metal you need left over from someone else.
Maybe when your all done you can give the AWD 325iX's a real show.
Think about it... A German car, and a Japanese engine, heck all you'd need would be some fine Italian leather seats and you could call your car 'The Axis'!
