everything should bolt right onto your stock crank, however replace all bearings and check clearances...i've had good luck thus far with acl bearings.
the head will be just fine as it has a similar combustion chamber size as the rb26 and r33 rb25, it wont change the CR of the engine too much but its a good idea to cc the chamber and figure out your exact CR for tuning sake.
i would probably go for the r33 rods assuming they are in good shape but have the machinist check to make sure they are still true, as the pistons tagged the valves it may have possibly bent the rod some.
i would HIGHLY reccomend that you upgrade to arp rod bolts if you plan on making any kind of reasonable power as i have little faith in stock retorqued rod bolts...FSM says you can reuse them but i have seen too many engines making power let go because the rod bolts streached.
the piston grades are so close together that you may be able to just hone the block out and get the clearance you need, again measure to be sure.
as far as head gasket goes, you can use a standard rb25de head gasket or an rb26 head gasket, i'd use the 26 gasket myself as it is a bit 'beefier' compared to the standard r32 25 gear.
a set of arp head studs to top it all off and you should have a nice conversion!
remember to have the ecu remapped for the turbo bits and consider a set of gtr injectors as the stocker 270cc injectors are pathetic and will run out of fuel very quickly.
R32ONP wrote:choice thanks bro...the r32 rb25de heads work ok with low comp pistons?? this may be a silly question but are the rods from the r33 rb25det stronger than the rb25de r32 rods?? and also will the r33 rb25det rods bolt up2 my r32 cranks all ok?? cheers for the help guys
so if i pull it all apart and the rb25det pistons i have are a larger piston i just bore the block to suit??
