Hey all, Just looking for some info on the e or 4 white dash plugs for the rb20det/ r32. I currently have successfully swapped an RB20 into my rx7 and am wondering which wires I can delete.

It runs without the dash plugs installed but I have noticed that there are some wires that continue into engine components that I am unsure about, a brown wire for o2 sensor from one plugs, a black/yellow that connects to a resistor of sorts and has a black outgoing and goes to coils/spark plugs. I have taken my temp sensor and tach sensor and am unsure if I can delete these few wires along with the plugs? If anyone can chime in I would appreciate it!

No one? I figured there must be some educated people around here..

Being new to swaps and wiring in general, I've deleted the three or four RB20 dash plugs from the harness and it appears I lost a ground or some thing as the injectors with the help of a noid light take a drop in power after the starter motor is engaged.

Any thoughts?

I'll be honest I'm not sure what your asking for. Are you trying to wire up a R32 GTST cluster into your RX7? or you have questions about the harness plug? if it's the harness plug you might have to search on how to wire it up into a S13 since some of those things need to be wired to the S13 cluster.

Sorry guy, I just recently swapped an rb20det from an r32 skyline into a 1982 rx7. Unfortunately the rb20 didnt come with a fuse box for the wiring harness, therefor I was kinda left in the dark in terms of wiring.

Anyhow I recently got her to run along with the nessecary splicing for the rx7 harness. I decided to loom the harnesses up and deleted some rb20det plugs near the ecu I was not using. Unfortunately after removing the dash plugs my injectors had weak pulse and the ecu's steady red light shut off when the starter motor was engaged.

I am now trying to figure which plug had a nescesarry ground or wire that I may have chopped. Also one of the brown wires from the 02 sensor extends to one of the white dash plugs.

That's about as helpful as I can get, tho you probably already saw the sticky. when you took out the 2 green relays near the ecu did you run the power wire for them straight to the battery with a inline fuse? If you have them wired up inside the car it might be turning off when the car is cranking. I did that on my swap harness when I got it and my nistune would freak out every time I tried to monitor start up.

Sorry, I am using the two green relays, at first I had a stock relay and a makeshift one I wired and only recently got a factory one, it clicks though so i take it thats not the problem?

Thanks for the reply

Fuel lines were on backwards, Runs fine, although I have 3 wires from the 8 gray plug going to ACC power. Pretty sure two should be 12v constant and one should be either ACC or IGN?

Do you have any pictures of this build? Being a former owner of a few rx7's I'd love to see the way it looks.

It's in rough shape right now, but it's coming along. I will post some pics when she's painted and what have you. Nice to see there is some interest though. Kind of my first big project, that is an engine swap/restoration.

(Something I can never find)

All I have right now, As you can see my choice for engine bay color was inspired by a honda owning sibling..
