well to start off hello :)and ive done alot of reading on this website and i know that you cant bring in a skyline unless its 25 years or older.
i just wanted to know what happens after you bring the car over after its 25 years old? do u just strap a cat on and hope it passes smog? (im in cali)
ive also been entertaining the thought about making a trip to japan and purchasing a r32 in the next 2 years and having it stored in a dock or some place (do they have something like derrels mini storage over there ha!) but unfortunately i have no contacts in japan. if someone could help id appreciate it. i just want everything planned out. do u guys think that the value will truly go up once they can be brought over?
how hard is it to find parts for this car?

Keep my email address, ask me in 4 years. I will get it done for you.

In California, we must meet emissions standards for the year of the vehicle. The exempt vehicles, well, by then its hard to say. California nearly wanted to revoke all exemptions, almost no matter the age.

As I said, keep my email, talk to me in 4 years.

Almost any R32 you find that was not religiously maintained by a single owner will nee a couple of grand in rust repair immediately.
Seeing the car in person before putting money on the wood is very advisable. Also pursuant on the agreement that the seller arrange transport and that you are not obligated until that same car is at your doorstep with whatever paperwork will be needed at that time.

i kind of expected that the car would need work after being in service for 25 years haha. im planning to get it from an auction how would that work out? dont you just give them the money and they just ship the car?

Its best to buy the car off a dealer. Best to have a look at the car, or have someone that knows the cars have a look at it for you.

I could look at GT-R's for people in 4 years, as I have a decent amount of experience, and have been in the car business my whole life.
