on my gtst well we got my fmic all on there good, and my oil cooler. so i went to start it for the first time today, and it was puffing tons of black smoke, and is running verry rough when it idles. as soon as i try to move, the engine becomes under load, and it dies. It was doing the exact same thing a while ago, but the problem was a little hose was off(right below my the intake manifold). I checked those and they seem fine. Another thing i changed was the ocation of my blow off valve. It was on the pipe that went to my intake manifold before, and since i had to move that pipe, i moved it into the other intercooler pipe, that does not go to the intake manifold. I don't think it will work on this pipe. I'm not sure if that could have been causing the problem? haha we had to push it up my driveway and move it over with a jack to get it parked again. So I'm not sure exactly what the problem is. any ideas?

What did you do about the hose the BOV blew off into? If you have a stock RB BOV it vents back into the air intake before the turbo but after the air flow meter. If you leave this open it will drive your car nuts as a bunch of air is getting into the turbo that the AFM never saw. Put up a pic.

the tube that went to the bov was still on the bov. I took my intercooler all off today, did a bunch of cleaning. i started it, it ran a little better. but still puffing tons of smoke and wouldnt go anywhere. but it idled smoother. Should I block off the hose that goes to my blow off valve?

Edit-Tried blocking it off, nothing changed. My dad says the smoke problem is the air/fuel mixture is off. How could this get changed?

Post up some pictures of the engine bay so we can get a good look at it to make sure you got everything done up right.

i dont think i have any. and it's all back apart now. i took off the intercooler to look around and see if i could notice anything wrong. i just dont get it. i tried unplugging my oxygen sensor, err which ever sensor is on the intake. all that happened was the idle went up, didnt stop puffing. what opther sensor would affect the gas/fuel mixture?

Your O2 sensor is going to be the spark plug looking sensor on the housing between the turbo exhaust housing and the down pipe.
