So my pal is parting out his GTS Skyline...

He has a big domed shaped HKS intake, with the R32 MAF sensor attached...

I dont know whether I should buy it and try to hook it up to my CA18DET and see what happens, or just buy the intake and give him the MAF back?

Would I see any horsepower gains with the MAF swap? what does it really do? and how can it increase my horsepower if I have a modified CAMSHAFT and bigger TURBO ? ( I searched and couldnt find the answer I was looking for )

Thanks a lot for helping me out :D

The MAF just reads air flow, the more mods you do the more air you need to flow. Just bolting it on wont help unless you have other mods also.....and a retuned chip to recognize the new Maf or a piggyback ecu to make it work (like an S-AFC or emanage). Basically, if you pick it up now you'll have to buy other stuff to make it work....and install all of that stuff at the same time down the road. That Maf can handle up to 310 HP.
