howsit guys ive searched up heaps on idle problems but havent quite found anyone with symptoms like mine...

the cars a 1990 R32 skyline GTS-T Type M factory turbo manual.
it has a straight thru 3 inch and a pod filter and an external wastegate...still running side mounted intercooler..

the problem i have is that it idles quite good cold but wen its hot its as if its hunting for idle but slow if u get what i mean..i can adjust the tps and make it hunt fast..but with the tps adjusted correctly i still get it going from 1000 up2 2000 for a bit then drop to 1000 quick then go back up2 2000.

atm i have the idle controler underneath the throttle body pluged in and the one at the back of the plenum unpluged as it idles way to high with it pluged in...but adjusting the tps doesnt seem to do much unless u adjust it all the way til it starts hunting....i have also adjusted the idle controller and have no luck getting it to idle smoothly

one other thing is i had a fully melted wiring loom from the external wastegate..it is now fully fixed and moved out of the way...but the wires for the o2 sensor are ripped off the sensor so no o2 atm...is it bad to run no o2 sensor?? i wana get one for it but really strapped for cash atm

another thing is the afm ellement is very dirty..could this affect the idle? i wouldnt think it would maybe just throttle response...i only have trouble idling once im driving shes mint and doesnt miss or surge or nething....any help would be apreciated guys!!!!

thanks

Check and make sure the cooling system is full and doesn't have any air pockets. When the coolant sensor sees an air pocket it can trigger a surging idle to tell you theres a problem.

ah yes thanks guys. 1 ov my problems was the standard bov opening slightly on idle then closing then opening etc etc.atm i have it blocked off..does anyone know how to crush it to improve the spring pressure to stop it opening on idle??? is it even possible?? i just like how it sounds...

the problem im getting is the tps adjustment...think iv got it mint now but i got it idling mint with the iac valve plugd in but the next day it was all f*** up again so yes i think the iac needs cleaning..thanks guys
