So last thursday I got R-32 GTS-T calipers with brembo cross drilled rotors installed. These are the same calipers that go on Z32s i believe...

I found the setup on ebay for 350 so I decided to drive to the seller and he helped me install it too. He was probably one of the nicest guys ive ever met.Including Axxis metal master pads and Motul 5.1 brake fluid, the whole setup cost me 400 dollars.

It has snowed a lot since and I just got a car wash so I decided to take some pics of it.

Enjoy and any comments are welcomed.

P.S. I am fully aware of the wheel gaps springs/shocks are up next on the list

could you find out where he got those rotors? I've looked for them, but I've only found Brembo cross-drilled by 3rd party members, not by Brembo themselves.

Good taste, I have to always paint my calipers too. Forget the haters, body kits and wheels are a personal taste thing but big grabby brakes are something everyone can agree on!

Thank you everybody for your positive comments. I really appreciate it.

1. Bodykit/wheels - I know some people dont like it but personally Ive grown to like it. I like how it looks but Im used to different opinions.

2. About the brakes - The guys I bought it from is from Japan and he said he bought this setup from a friend of his who owns a R-32 GTS-T so he obtained it for really cheap which is the reason why he didnt sell it so expensive.

3. Rear setup- I think im just going to change the lines to SS lines and upgrade the pads and maybe even upgrade the rotors. But even before I do all that my frist priority in brake system right now is to upgrade the MC. Personally I dont think the rear upgrade to Z32 brakes is worth it because of time and money and difficulty it takes to upgrade it. Oh and as for the e-brake issue. You are going to have to extend your ebrake line to fit the Z32 setup. A company used to make a kit for this but not anymore so its either you figure out a way to do it or some people drive w/o em.

BTW- I love the color of this car. Blue emerald pearl. The pictures don't do justice. If I see the car in the night under a full moon light or see it in a bright sunlight, I can almost have an orgasm...

Blue Emerald Pearl represet!!!

in order to correctly do the rear upgrade and it be fully functional, you have to find the ebrake setup of the same car you are using the brakes from. that, in parts i have even checked with junk yards, can cost as much as $500 plus the rotors and calipers. if you don't then you can have an ebarke. if i wasn't planning on drifting the car i'd do it in a heartbeat but i'll need the ebrake to assist with drifting now and again. so i am just doing the front conversion, i might even get Undergound's supra conversion kit one day for the front, but the raers i am just putting stainless lines, brembos, and some nice pads on there.

the rear ebrake isn't that hard. Here is the parts cost for my car. ALL off of ebay (including shipping)

Front Calipers $ 140Rear Calipers $50All 4 Rotors $801 1/16 MC $ 45Ebrake setup $ 50

Reuilding of all 4 calipers (not necessary) $120

Ebrake that works (almost. I broke it, and haven't had time to fix it). No extending of any lines involved either.

e-brake extension on ebay runs for 36 bux last time i checked. You can always go w/a hydraulic setup too.

i think you may have it mixed up just a little bit. the color goes with the car, its the kit that doesnt go with either one.

Hey Maximus, the rear Z32 brakes use a separate parking brake. Its a drum brake the attaches to the hub. The S13/S14's parking brake acts on the rear caliper (I dont know exactly how). You have to extend the S13/S14 lines to reach the Z32 hub. Its a pain, but apparently do-able. So if youre doing Z32 rear brakes, you have to get the Z32 rear hubs too (Cant use S14 SE hubs).

Sorry buddy. You heard wrong. You can use z32 rear brakes with stock hubs if you want. I've got it on my s13 with the e-brake(although I agree, I wouldn't use it for drifting, it only locks with the e-brake pulled all the way up, and the little nut adjusted all the way).

I just wanted to point that out.

Thanks for the correction...

If you use stock hubs with Z32 rears, what is your parking brake hooked up too??

Wingzero, imagine what the stock brakes look like behinds those wheels...

I just attached the z-lines to the s13 lines that I chopped off. It doesn't work well, but it keeps the car in place.

How would using z32 hubs change anything?

the only difference between the z32 and s14 hubs is that you can change the bearings on the z32's, other than that they are identical.

Take the Z32 line running from the drum, and splice it to your stock line. THere is no extending or anything like that. It's just a matter of finding a way to clamp them together. It's pretty straight forward. Just trial and error.

this quote is directly from the 300zx definitive brake swap guide

"...At any rate, you will need quite a bit of hardware from the 300ZX. Obviously, there are the rotors and calipers. You will also need the e-brake cables, and the complete e-brake/splash shield setup. Some people have been able to utilize the aluminum 300ZX knuckle, but it's no where near a direct swap."

http://importnut.net/300zxbrakeswap.htm

Yea the rotors look smaller than they actually are but i think one of the reasons is because of the way the wheel looks... As for comparison you can look at the way the rear rotor looks behind that wheel and get a laugh out of it if youd like...
