Okay... so I came across a GTR rear subframe, complete with axles, brakes, and diff. I popped the pumpkin open, and I found a locking 2-way diff in there (suprise!). Now... I'm fairly sure that the GTR and the S13 both use R200 differentials, the mounting points are all the same.... but the output shafts are splined differently, and the axles are different lengths. Also, the output shaft/axle bolts are different patterns (six bolts vs. 2x2x2).

Now, my question is; has anyone put one of these diffs in a s13? is there an axle that has a 2x2x2 bolt pattern, and the splines required to fit into an 300zx TT spindle? (5-bolt swap)

I think I might be able to just swap the internals...but am having a ***** of a time getting the input worm-gear out of my s13 diff...any tips on that?

Any input at all is appreciated. ThanksMark

are those bolt axle flanges like the J30 axles?

maybe those will swap over

also those gears are a 4.36 should be... will net you some acceleration!

I think they are the same...but I'm not 100%. Can someone verify?

my problem is that i installed the Q45 rear that has the beefy axels due to constant axel snapping so now my old problem was fixxed but my new problem is that the gears are wayyy to long, i mean it runs good but i top out on 3rd at 130mph lol due to the 3.69 gears that are in the diff. i wanna keem the same rear end but would like to get some gears that i can put to move them up to a 3.93 or even a 4.08..

The 90-96 Q45 had a 3.54 final gear, and the 97-01 had a 3.69
