Hey everybody!! alright this weekend is when I'm swapping my buddies rb20 in his s13. I've got eveything together and what not, plus we purchased an R32 GT-R diff and axles from J-hot when we picked up the engine. Now I'm trying to find somewhere that sells R32 5-lug conversions for the rear or something. The skyline axles are way beefier than factory 240s so if you guys know of anywhere that sells these with the whole spindle so that I can just plug these axles in let me know, thanks.

Not too sure whether you'll have any luck with that one. Just get back in touch with JHOT...I picked up the entire rear subframe off of an R32 from them...and I think they had some more coming in. Maybe they'll part with the rear hubs and/or spindles. Don't hold me too it...but they're pretty reasonable guys...

jarco sells subframes for $200, at least thats what it is when you buy a clip from them, but it includes full hubs, brakes, LSD, shafts, and misc suspension parts. i got my r33 subframe from them with my clip, very happy with it, its going to be installed in the upcomming weeks..

I got the entire rear subframe from an R32 for $250 from JHOT. That was diff, axles, hubs, brakes, HICAS rack, e-brake cables, etc...

Damn, those are good prices. Try finding just a J30 VLSD for under $300! Too bad I didn't go that route... I already have the VLSD and the Z32 rear brakes, but not the nice axles.

Hmm just curious on how you plan on putting that onto your rear end, considering its a solid 3 inches wider.

I thought from reading around that people have implated the whole rear subframe from an r32 into an s13?? but now that I think of it the diff is not from a GT-R but a GTS-T would that make a difference, I'm sure it would. Also I need to get back with J-hot because we bought this diff and axles for 250, if some people here are getting the rear sub for that price than I need a refund!!! I live outside of Nashville so I just took the 4 and a half hour drive for the enigne and misc stuff.

Well I didn't pay shipping since I only live about 30 minutes away from JHOT . I wouldn't hold my breath on a refund...as far as I know once they sell something, it is sold "as is", so I don't know if they exactly do refunds...wouldn't hurt to check. But we installed the diff in my S13 and it works beautifully...well except for the fact that my car is a h0m0 and my ignitor chip crapped out. Sooo once that is fixed I'll be able to fully appreciate the glory that is LSD...

you cant bolt up the entire sub frame, you just take the essensials, axels, diff, brakes, hubs if needed, cables, the subframe doesnt bolt up. but whats nice is you have everything right there at your desposal, i didnt pay for shipping for it, it came with my clip so it was included, the subframe is HEAVY at least 300 lbs, so shipping should cost a few bucks...

As far as i know the GTR rear end will not bolt up. Everything is 3 inches wider. Besides the fricken pumpkin weighs as much as an sr or ka transmission. I don't know about GTST's but I really don't think GTR rear ends are worth putting up

So the r32 axles won't slide into the stock 4 lug spindles?

r32 axles and diff should fit into a 240 no problem. I bought my diff from a guy on ebay who imports a large amount of used nissan parts. The diff I bought was supposedly from an r32. It is a vlsd, and had the 5-bolt outputs, so the axles were included. Everything bolted up just fine.

Cool. I guess all I need is to get some gear oil, and then I'll commence the installation. Thanks much.

This was supose to be a GT-R rear subframe (see the writing on it even) but when I get it home, it dosen't appear to be a Skyline rear.

It looks to me to be a Z32 rear. For one, the diff is a R230, and second, the orig auction pics showed cross drilled rotors.

Can anyone ID this sub drop with 100% certinty? R32 Skyline? or Z32 TTzcar

I just got done looking over my r33 rear sub, im not sure if they rears on the r32 and the 33 were the same.. but if they are i dont think you have the r32 one.. the shock openings.. not sure what they are called the circle arms on your subframe dont exist on mine, and another way to know, have them take a pic of the Inspection Plate in the engine bay, if it says RC 41.. which is what mine says it has 4.1 rear end gears on it, im pretty sure thats what all the GTR's had as well.. not 100% positive tho.. anyways turn your input shaft however many it says.. like i turned mine 4.1 times and the tires rotated exactly 1 time.. so i knew i had the correct one.. hope this helps, also check around on forums to see if all GTR's came with a 6 bolt input flange from the driveshaft.. i know the TT did

I don't think that that subframe is from an r32 either. The diffs on the r32s should have 4 bolts on the back, holding it onto the subframe, just like an s13 (this is why it was a direct swap for me). That diff is attached to your subfame by only 2 bolts (like an s14 diff is). I believe that the s14 diff and subframe are similar to the r33 components, so it is possible that that is an r33 subframe.

Just looked at the diff in those pictures again. It has those gear type things on the sides of the diff where the outputs are. I know that the z32 diff has those, and that it is neccesary to replace the outputs because of that if you are swapping it to a 240. Most likely that that is a z32 rear end.

The R32 GTR rear end only has two bolts on the back like s14's. OK do this. Look at the back of the hubs. There will be the usual 4 bolts that hold the hub on. But check to see if there is an extra nut on the back (i think 27mm).
