the speed sensor tells you how fast your going by how fast the transmission spining since the differentail gear ratio "4.36" is higher the transmission is going faster then with the stock differentail of 4.089 thats how the car reads your speed now in order to get a proper speed in the speedometer i was thinking of swaping the speed sensor from a s13 ca18det since it has a differentail of 4.36 or an skyline r32 that also has a differentail of 4.36

now my question is will it work

The R32 has a cable driven sensor, so you would need an R32 gauge cluster to get a speedo reading. The S13 CA is the same part as the SR iirc.

My R32 speedo is cable driven and the 240 is electrical you will not need the speedo the 89-91 Nissan 180sx and silvia had the same 4.36 rear end with the CA and all S13 european 200sx had the CA18 from 89-94
