I am sure some people are sick of me asking and yes I have searched, but I am still a little confused.
This is for a rb20det swap into an 89 S13.
Correct me if I am wrong, but from what I can tell the s13 cluster gets some of its gauge signals from the KA ecu harness. These include Tach, and Temp from what I can tell so far.
I am assuming that the Rb20det ecu harness will have a connector breaking off to give tach and coolant temp signals to the r32 cluster. Is this correct?
Now as for the fuel gauge, illumination, and most of the warning lights they seem to be wired into the car so I am hoping that I can just splice those out of the s13 dash harness to there matching wires from the back of the r32 cluster.
For the speedo I will of course be using the cable so I hope it should funtion properly. " I will just have to adapt to the metric system"
And for the added gauges " boost, and oil pressure" I am hoping that they will break off of the rb20 ecu harness as well. ???
If anyone could let me know if I am headed in the right direction it would be very helpful.
