Without the front brake assembly, what would you accomplish?

The FGY33 caliper, rotor and spash shield (same as on J30) is an upgraded vented version of the solid G50 rotor.

Is there any gain from the calipers though?

I saw a post by Q45tech that said roughly that Z32 calipers and rotors accomplished the same as Q45 calipers and rotors, But that the Z32 calipers are better at dissipating head because of there larger size.

Calipers really don't dissapate heat, rotors do.

And the pad size is about the same, even on the R32 I believe. The Z32 rotors are actually lighter but allow more air through.

The only really effective brake upgrade occurred on the BNR34 with the larger Brembos.

And finding R32 brakes are hard as it is, Finding BNR34 brakes will be as hard to find a s power folding/heated mirror switch.

At least I can make that switch though, I hope.

Not really as it is a standard Brembo setup. I apologize for not sending that information.

Do you a lot more good than the folding mirrors if you really drive the car hard.

Thanks you I have been aware of those for some time now, But the switch does'nt have a heat button.

But I might buy those and cut a USDM Power folding switch to get he folding button in, and find some one to do the electrical work on the switch.

Might be easier to buy the ebay ones and rewire mirror heaters to come on automatically with the rear defrost switch, like the 94-96Q does from the factory.

Why not just substitute the J30/97-01 Q rear rotors and calipers if you are looking for a vented rear braking system?

Look at the Brembo catalog. Stillen and a lot of others sell them. Not sure about the caliper brackets for the rear. The BNR34 set up should come pretty close to working.

Think it used the 355mm rotor up front. Don't remember the rear size right now. 343mm? or 328mm? Both had 4 pot calipers.

The main advantage of the Brembos is a larger brake pad for more swept area on the same size rotor.

If you are really hardcore, there is AP Racing owned by Brembo. I have been told that these don't have the dust seals, but I think some do now.

Has anyone on here done an R32 or Z32 brake upgrade on their G50? I have a line on some R32 GTR brakes, just wondering what's involved and if it's worth it...

Edit: Just did a search, plenty of info

But just to be clear, assuming you have larger than 15" wheels, you just throw on the rotors and calipers and you're done???

If the brackets work. Not really an upgrade until your get to the BNR34 Brembos. Pad size stays constant, only rotor diameter and some times weight increases.

Really significant change (a true upgrade) costs really significant money.

Not worth it in my opinion, because where will you need that much braking power.
