Hi all, first time poster here but im in need of some help please.I'm working on a mates r32 and he's swapped his rear end from a 4ws to a non 4ws, now this should present no problems however when I went to do the wheel alignment on the car it was towing in on the left rear wheel 5.8mm.

so I attempted to adjust to no avail, spent three hours trying to make something work but it seems like there is something bent or similar.I loosend off the lower control arm to see if that would give me some more adjustment but no, also I loosend off the subframe and tryed to give that a shuffle......and once again no result.

so my question is this, has anyone encounterd these sorts of problems with the r32 rear end ?? or does anyone know of a common problem that exists in the rear of these cars ?? I cant see anything bent but I guess that dosn't mean there isn't ....

any help or advise would be appreciated

well what do you know, problem is solved......

turn outs the handbrake cable was the cause of the problem !!! was ultra tight on one side which explains why it was so hard to move. The owner of the car pulled it apart to look for bent stuff etc then went to put it back together and it wouldnt go, loosend off the handbrake, it all reasembled and the wheels way straighter!!!So it goes back on the alignment machine this weekend...thanks heaps anyway for your reply, and hopefully this may be of use to someone that has this problem in the future.

Glad to hear it was an easy fix.

That's the downside to having a Skyline......most parts are hard/expensive to get, and finding someone familiar with working on the car is even harder.:D
