I've been having trouble finding a resource that breaks down the differences between the RB26 motors that came in the different skyline chassis. Anyone?

Simplest terms:

Only difference between R32 and R33 is the placement of a couple plugs (like, rank-angle sensor plug is at the back on the R32, up front on R33)

R34 has same plug locations as R33, but the R34 motor has a more aggressive design on the Cams and Valves, so slightly more power.

And the R34 uses a 2-wire Crank Angle Sensor, where the R32 and 33 use a 3-wire (though that's more dependant on the ECU and Chassis it's in.....I've a R34 motor in my R32, so it uses the 3-wire sensor.)

so, If I go through and buy the R33 motor I've come accross and buy new cams I should be alright? I won't be doing that intially, due to the fact that I should really learn to handle the power it already has, but I want to make sure there aren't any early-production issues.

On the electronics front, I have to go full standalone. It doesn't really matter what's where.

Thanks for the help!

R32's have some problem with a crank collar or something like that that make them turd themselves more often than the R33 and R34 varients

Sweet...we have 2 RB26-swapped Z33's here, they rock.

Since it's going into a different chassis and powered by a standalone ECU-replacement (like a EMS or F-CON or PowerFC), then it shouldn't matter which one you get: just tune it to run smooth & you'll be cool.

R32 and early R33's have a push clutch slave where the later R33 and R34 have a pull type. Only thought that pertant since you are looking to go AWD not just a motor swap.
