Familiar with this brand? I want to add an intake and have been reading the forums and researching online and found several ones with varying reviews....stillen, fujita injen, dual pop chargers...It appears that determining on which type/brand varies as much as which oil to use?!

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Do you have a presonal preference in having an oiled filter as opposed to dry?

I'm not all that familiar with this particular brand. But they are ALL very close in performance gains. You will not be able to notice any gains, just a different noise at WOT.

I like JWT personally.

I, personally, do not have any preference with regard to having an oiled filter as opposed to dry. That is, assuming there is no difference in realized performance or gains in other areas.

I have seen several members with JWT. From what I have seen, each member appears to be happy with the product.

I recalled seeing in a prior thread a member indicated that he had attended a demonstration and that the construction of the R2C product was far superior. Again, this was the company's demo so who knows....

Thanks for the response. I'm trying to narrow down the field to make a good decisions.

Finally, do you have any idea whether this voids the warranty? I wouldn't think so, but just want to be sure.

Thanks,

~VT

I advocate dry filters.

There are two reasons:

1) They are easier to maintain. Simply wash, dry, install. The oiled ones have to be washed, dried, oiled (properly), then installed. And they don't reach full filtering ability until they are partially dirty.

2) The dry filters are more like factory filters in concept so there's less issue with a MAF being covered in oil or any other problems.

I like my JWT. The velocity air stack ring is a really good design. It just needs a real air box to block heat soak as opposed to the heat shield which I dont think works.
