This looks like a great deal, and a pretty non-intrusive mod. Are we sure that it doesn't introduce any warranty issues? My G has about 500 miles on it and I really don't want to compromise that great warranty. Also, I can't distinguish the difference between black nickel and bright nickel from the pictures at Tunerzstore--what am I missing?

This modification along with any other modification done to your vehicle "can possibly" void your warranty. In order to void the warranty, this modification would have to be the cause of the issue though and the dealership would have to prove this modification voided your warranty. How friendly are you with the service advisor/techs/service manager? The dealership that I use is great about modifications, especially if they install them. You may look into them installing the intake for you, that may ease any concerns on their part.

The bright nickel finish is a shade lighter than the black nickel.

Vinnyvin has black powder coat, which is a darker matte finish when compared to the others.

Given that I'm trying to stir up the issue of the dealership (and dealerships in general) not honoring Infiniti Maintenance Plans, I suspect my popularity may be on the wane with them. OTOH, they may disagree with the owner's stance on that and see me as a comrade. I got along great with them when I was a Q45 owner. We'll see. I'll probably end up paying your regular price somewhere down the road for this item.
