I have a 1996 240SX SE, but it came with an open differential (R200), and i just bought a VLSD from a 240sx, my questionis weather or not the new VLSD will fit into my old open differential housing, and weather or not the R200 and the R200V have different differential covers

while i don't have first hand experience with this, if they are both from an S14 and have the same bolt patter on the output shafts, then they should bolt right up, if not the VLSD is not from an S14, you may have to swap the rear diff cover.

The internals should fit, just make sure you have LSD output shafts.

ive swapped the guts from an 200v to a 200 and they fit in fine.just make sure you get the endcaps for the bearings on the right sides else you may end up with some uneven wear.oh also use the lsd output flanges and they are not the same for both sides so remember which one came out of what side.
