So... I'm relentlessly pursuing a solution to the lack of an LSD in the Q50S 3.7 RWD... and I've found that, while the previous G/Z cars used an R200 (which has many LSD options out there, and the most attractive one to me and what I'd like to do is the Quaife ATB Helical LSD), the Q50 inexplicably uses an R190 series diff.

Any technically savvy dudes in the Nissan world familiar with any other applications that use an R190? This just seems weird to me.

(As a disclaimer, I got my info straight out of NICOClub.com/FSM and other random parts site. SHAMELESS PLUG.)

not too familiar with the R190, but 720 and D21 pickups, as well as some early D22 pickups (all 2wd 4 banger models in the D21/D22) used an H190 rear axle. I don't know how many parts (if any) would interchange between the R190 and H190 differentials but it might be worth looking into.

That said, most of those truck axles were open diff. The LSDs were in the larger H233B rears.
