R134a compressor for S13?

I'm in the process of shopping for a used AC compressor, but are there different compressors for R12 and R134a? If so, are there some for the single cam motor?

I'm well aware of the repercussions for using R134a in a system meant for R12, how it won't cool as well and such, but I would still like to go R134a if possible. So would that require a different compressor?

You can get a retro kit from just about any parts house. You will need the flush the system and check with the dealer about hose replacement. On some models the hoses need to be changed because of the r134a will seep through the r12 hoses. The newer hoses have a nylon liner to prevent this.
