that does suck, but atleast the Vettes will live on, I wonder if they're gonna make some memorial additions?

Yeah but HE was the one who built them, mostly. It wouldn't be a Lingenfelter without him.

Damn, I would've loved to see what he could have pulled off for the Sport Compact drag cars. Granted it's a Cavalier but still. I honestly think him and his team would have, and still maybe, would have been the first into the 5's (rwd). Hell they just set a new record at Texas for a 6.71 pass. A true Pioneer to the automotive game. :(

I've only met John twice, but he was a pretty cool guy. I know some guys who knew him pretty well and nobody had anything bad to say about him. He hasn't been running the company for about a hear and a half since his accident, his wife is running the office and his son in law has been taking care of the shop.

John did bring a lot to the automotive world, he will be missed.

That's such a tragedy. John really was on top of the world- he was the perennial Supercar Shootout winner. His record-setting run in his Cavalier is a bittersweet, but perfect swansong. His name was synonymous with extreme, high quality craftsmanship. He will be truly missed.
